Ariane Sept
Wissenschaftlerin

Ariane Sept ist seit 2018 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Leibniz-Institut für Raumbezogene Sozialforschung (IRS) in Erkner und dort im Projekt „Smart Villagers: Digitalisierungen und soziale Innovationen in ländlichen Räumen“ tätig. Nach dem Abschluss ihres Studiums der Stadt- und Regionalplanung an der TU Berlin im Jahr 2006 war sie zunächst freiberuflich in Berlin und Rom in der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Vernetzung von Interreg IIIC-Projekten sowie in den Bereichen Stadtforschung, Grafik- und Webdesign tätig. Von 2015 bis 2018 promovierte sie im DFG-Graduiertenkolleg „Innovationsgesellschaft heute“ am Institut für Soziologie der TU Berlin mit einer Arbeit zum Thema „Entschleunigung in Klein- und Mittelstädten. Cittaslow als soziale Innovation in der Stadtentwicklung“.

           

Ariane Sept has been working as a research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS) in Erkner since October 2018, being engaged in the project “Smart Villagers: Digitalisation and Social Innovations in Rural Spaces”. After her graduation in urban and regional planning at TU Berlin in 2006 she has been a freelancer in Berlin and Rome working in the fields of dissemination and networking for Interreg IIIC projects, urban studies, graphics and web design. From 2015 to 2018 she completed her PhD at the DFG graduate school “Innovation society today” at the Institute of Sociology of the TU Berlin with a thesis entitled “Slowing down in small and medium towns. Cittaslow as social innovation in urban development”.
